Bank of Italy: Loans to households up 1.8% in June

Loans to the sector in June private, corrected on the basis of the harmonized methodology agreed within the European banking system central, increased by 1.1% over 12 months (+0.7% in the month previous). Bankitalia writes this in its report 'Banks and Money'. Loans to households increased by 1.8% (1.5 in previous month) while those to non-financial corporations are increased by 0.3% (-1.4% in the previous month). Deposits of private sector increased by 0.5% (3.8% in May); the Bond collections increased by 1.4% (it had decreased of 0.2% in May). The APR on new loans to families for the purchase of housing stood at 3.60% (3.58 in May). The share of these loans with an initial rate fixation period up to 1 year was 8.8% (7.2 in the previous month). The APR on new consumer credit disbursements was 10.15%. (10.18 in May). Interest rates on new loans to non-financial corporations were equal to 3.61% (versus 3.66%) those for amounts up to 1 million were equal to 4.17% while rates on new loans exceeding that amount threshold was set at 3.32%. Passive rates on the whole of the outstanding deposits were equal to 0.67% (0.70% in previous month).
