Call for proposals to digitize libraries starting in September

"The Region has decided to invest significant resources to promote awareness, appreciation, and accessibility of the regional library heritage through its digitization and systematic inventory: extraordinary and indispensable tools today for making cultural content accessible and ensuring its long-term preservation. A call for proposals, supported by a €400,000 allocation, specifically aimed at libraries in Friuli Venezia Giulia, will therefore be launched in September." This announcement was made by Mario Anzil, Deputy Governor for Culture, following the Regional Council's approval of the call for proposals for civic and university libraries based in the region and state libraries that operate the civic library service under an agreement with a municipality.
"This is a targeted intervention that concretely addresses a specific need in the library world," Anzil added, "guaranteeing the regional administration's support for reorganization and enhancement projects that will positively impact the quality of cultural services offered to citizens." Projects for which funding is requested must not have yet been started at the time of application submission and must involve a minimum eligible expenditure of at least €3,000. The grant is equal to 90% of the eligible expenditure, up to a maximum of €100,000 per project, and is awarded through a one-stop process; therefore, in chronological order of receipt of eligible applications.
