Confindustria Udine meets with unions, focusing on workplace safety.

Local development, worker well-being, and business growth were the focus of the meeting between Luigino Pozzo, President of Confindustria Udine, and the regional secretaries of CGIL, CISL, and UIL, held today at Palazzo Torriani, the headquarters of the industrialists' association in the Friulian capital. Also present were Director General Michele Nencioni and Trade Union Area Manager Eva Pividori. The discussions, described as cordial by Confindustria in a statement, focused on training, with particular attention to the technological gap compared to Asian countries, and the culture of innovation, which must be supported as a lever for competitiveness. Confindustria noted that considerable attention was also given to workplace safety, with the shared need to identify tools, including technological ones, to reduce the still-too-high number of accidents. The parties also discussed the region's attractiveness, emphasizing the importance of creating the conditions for the return of talent who have left the region. On these points, a broad convergence has emerged between Confindustria and the unions.
Pozzo also outlined the social housing project, designed "to promote the inclusion and integration of skilled labor, the shortage of which is a critical factor for the local production system." Finally, the discussion focused on wage structures, work culture, and social welfare. Today's meeting marks the beginning of a dialogue that includes further meetings between Confindustria Udine and the trade unions.
