European stock markets pause

Wall Street has had a mixed and flat start ahead of the expiration of the trade truce agreed with China last month. Inflation data is awaited. Europe continues to be relatively stable, with London up 0.45%, Milan above par, and Frankfurt down 0.5%.
Unipol rose 3% and Telecom Italia rose 2.5% on the Milan Stock Exchange after analysts at JP Morgan raised their price target. Oil recovered its declines, with Brent crude at $66.70 a barrel for October. Natural gas also rose 1.1% to €32.90 per megawatt hour on the Amsterdam TTF platform.
