Gas stockpiles exceed 50% in EU, Italy almost at 63%

Gas stocks have surpassed the threshold of 50% in Europe, a level that analysts judge 'positive' considering the starting level below 35% at end of March. As of last June 7, according to Gas data Infrastructure Europe, EU stocks are at 50.97%, at 578 TWh, still below the over 809 TWh of 7 June 2024. First is Italy, with deposits full at around 62.7% 126.91 TWh, compared to 153.17 TWh a year ago. Germany follows at 42.1% at 106.2 TWh, compared to 183.42 TWh on 7 June 2024. On the TTF square in Amsterdam, futures contracts for the month of June they give up 0.2% to 36.18 euros per MWh.
