Green cities: Amirante, Fvg invests in private building efficiency

“The Regional Council of Friuli Venezia Giulia will soon bring to the Chamber a bill that provides for the allocation of 50 million euros for building and energy efficiency for private individuals. An intervention that will allow for the reduction of emissions, lower consumption and also have a positive impact on the so-called energy poverty”.
This was stated by the regional councilor for Infrastructure and Territory Cristina Amirante, speaking at the round table of the National Green City Conference, as part of the Green&Blue Festival 2025, at the National Museum of Science and Technology in Milan.
Opened by a dialogue between Edo Ronchi, president of the Foundation for Sustainable Development, and Nino Tronchetti Provera, founder and managing partner of Ambienta, the round table brought together mayors and councilors of large Italian cities to discuss an alarming picture: according to European regulations in force from 2030, 71% of Italian cities would be outside the law for PM10 concentration.
During the event, Amirante illustrated the policies of Friuli Venezia Giulia in support of the energy transition in the transport, logistics and private construction sectors.
“Friuli Venezia Giulia – he explained – behaves, in some areas, exactly like a large city, as demonstrated in today's panel in which I illustrated our model of mobility of people and goods, which includes a strategic investment in the regional airport”.
As for logistics, he added, “we have chosen to invest Pnrr funds in the electrification of the docks of the ports of Trieste and Monfalcone. This, together with the railway connections, allows regional logistics to be made sustainable”.
