Tirso crisis: unity is needed, not controversy. The priority is protecting workers.

The regional secretariats of Femca Cisl, UILTEC, and Fesica Confsal have addressed the Tirso crisis and, in a statement, specified that "Since the beginning of the Tirso crisis, our approach has been distinguished by seriousness and responsibility within the institutional crisis discussion. We have chosen to address the issues on the merits, in the forums designated for discussion, avoiding exploitation and demagogic excesses that only risk amplifying the suffering of those directly involved.
Concrete actions have been implemented along this path: the Region has allocated significant infrastructure investments to strengthen the logistics of the Noghere industrial area, with the aim of creating the conditions for a revitalization of production and employment through new business establishments. Confirming the validity of this strategy, expressions of interest from industrial operators remain active today.
At the same time, the Stability Law and the Budget Adjustment included specific measures to incentivize the hiring of workers receiving NASpI (National Social Security Fund) or receiving CIGS (Italian Redundancy Fund). Active labor market policies were launched, involving local companies to facilitate the matching of labor supply and demand.
In light of these steps forward, recognized and shared by all trade unions, we can only express surprise and disagreement with the position taken by Filctem CGIL. Breaking the united front, rushing ahead without concrete proposals, and fueling exploitative tensions against those who have worked so dedicatedly to protect workers is an attitude we do not share: useless in method, wrong in substance.
We do not accept the false and misleading idea that nothing has been done in the Tirso affair.
It is essential to remember that until September 30th, all employees will formally remain employed by the company and will continue to benefit from the CIGS (Italian Redundancy Fund). Discussions therefore remain open, and every glimmer of hope must be kept alive, as the remaining time could prove crucial. We continue to trust in the work of the Region and Confindustria, which have always demonstrated concrete attention and proactive support for the Tirso workforce.
Today, more than ever, we need unity. This is the time for responsibility and a constructive spirit. Only by joining forces will it be possible to identify every possible solution to prevent layoffs.
At such a delicate moment, fueling controversy and division is not only counterproductive, but risks undermining the efforts made thus far and, above all, harming the very workers who, in their assemblies, forcefully called on the trade unions to address this crisis in a united manner.
