Aosta Valley will vote on September 28th along with Marche. Elections in Pescara will be postponed.

Municipal elections and regional council elections will be held in the Aosta Valley on September 28th. This is established by a decree published today in the official regional gazette, signed by President Renzo Testolin . A possible runoff for the municipal elections will be held on October 12th, and the first meeting of the regional council will be on October 28th.
There is, therefore, a second region voting next fall that has set its own election date. The first was the Marche region , which, with a decree from the outgoing governor of the Italian Democratic Party (FdI), Francesco Acquaroli , set the next regional elections for September 28th (from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.) and 29th (from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.), thus formally launching the process that will lead the citizens of the Marche to renew the regional council and choose the next president.
In total, six regional elections are up for election. Election dates are still pending in Campania, Puglia, Veneto, and Tuscany.
Elections in Pescara suspendedThe request to suspend the Regional Administrative Court's ruling that annulled the results of the 2024 Pescara municipal elections, requiring a new vote in 27 of the 170 districts, is "worthy of positive consideration." This is stated in the order of the Council of State, which, at yesterday's hearing, granted the precautionary requests submitted in conjunction with the appeal against the ruling. Consequently, the by-elections that the prefect had already ordered for August 24 and 25 will not be held.
The order from the Palazzo Spada judges confirms what was already anticipated by the political world yesterday, after the hearing.
