Democratic Party's National Unity Festival will be held in Reggio Emilia.

The National Unity Festival, which turns 80 this year, will take place from September 2nd to 14th at Iren Green Park in Reggio Emilia. The announcement was made by Igor Taruffi , head of organization for the Democratic Party. After much hesitation over the choice of location, between Tuscany—in view of the regional elections in the fall—and Emilia, the Democratic Party finally settled on the city of the Tricolor, accustomed to political and sausage stands, which also hosted the national edition last year.
This year also coincides with the 80th anniversary of the first Festa dell'Unità, held on September 2, 1945, in Mariano Comense. "This anniversary will also feature moments of reflection and celebration of a piece of our country's history," explains Taruffi, recalling the more than 450 Festa dell'Unità held throughout Italy. "Including the one in Fiesole, which is currently underway and will continue until July 27," continues the head of the organization, a trusted representative of Elly Schlein, responding to the issue of defections . The Festa dell'Unità, he concludes, "represent a precious safeguard of democracy and sociality and are made possible thanks to the commitment and dedication of thousands of volunteers, whom we wish to sincerely thank."
