Museums, Giuli chooses directors: Sirano to the MANN in Naples, Quilici to the Colosseum

A note from the Ministry of Culture announces the appointments of the directors of the top-tier museums, chosen by Minister Alessandro Giuli .
For the Galleria dell'Accademia in Florence and the Bargello Museums, the name is that of Andreina Contessa , museum curator and expert in museology, digital cataloging, and multimedia. Since May 2020, she has headed the Regional Museums Directorate of Friuli Venezia Giulia, after having led the Historical Museum and the Park of Miramare Castle. Francesco Sirano has been appointed for the National Archaeological Museum of Naples, while for the National Roman Museum, the choice falls on Federica Rinaldi, an archaeologist who directed the Archaeological Park of Herculaneum for two terms.
The Royal Museums of Turin will be led by art historian Paola D'Agostino , and the Colosseum Archaeological Park will be directed by Simone Quilici, an architect and landscape designer. He was director of the Appian Way Archaeological Park and previously worked on the restoration of cultural and historical-religious itineraries for the Lazio Region.
