Artificial Intelligence: Meta Wins Lawsuit, Training Does Not Violate Privacy

The ruling was the second in a week by a federal court in San Francisco to dismiss major copyright claims by book authors against the rapidly growing artificial intelligence industry. However, the judge also said the ruling was limited to the authors in question and did not mean Meta’s use of copyrighted materials was lawful.
