eFootball celebrates 30 years with Nostalgia campaign and global event in Tokyo

Konami launches series of in-game and real-world initiatives to celebrate the anniversary of the legendary football saga, from Winning Eleven to eFootball

Konami Digital Entertainment launches the “Nostalgia” campaign to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its famous football series, born on July 21, 1995 with Winning Eleven and known in Europe as PES. The initiative, active from today until July 10 on all platforms where eFootball is available, aims to pay homage to the origins of the franchise by offering special content, timed challenges and the return of some historic football icons in digital version.

Among the main elements of the campaign is a “Time Attack” event that brings back the classic polygonal models of the past: players will be able to face a race against the clock to score goals and obtain prizes useful for the development of their Dream Team. This is accompanied by the return of legends such as Adriano, Roberto Baggio and Gerard Piqué, temporarily available as limited edition “Epic” cards.

To mark the occasion, the Big Time: Chance Deal 30th Anniversary pack was also launched, allowing players to unlock rare and enhanced versions of players to further strengthen their squad. Finally, those who log in during the campaign will receive daily bonuses, including coins, experience points, training tools, and a commemorative anniversary badge.

The celebrations will culminate on July 21st in Tokyo with the eFootball World Festival, hosted at Belle Salle Shibuya Garden. The event will feature gameplay sessions, talks with notable guests such as Riku Hagiwara and Jon Kabira, and a series of announcements regarding new licenses and upcoming content. The event will be streamed globally in nine languages.

In parallel, also in Tokyo, the World Finals of the eFootball Championship 2025 will take place, which will see 32 of the best players, 16 for the console section and 16 for the mobile, compete for the world title. After the group stage scheduled for July 20, the best will face off in front of a live audience to determine the overall champion of this edition.
