Italian Startups at Montecitorio: “Artificial Intelligence is the Future, Not Bureaucracy”

At the Chamber of Deputies the conference on the AI Act and the appeal for a more streamlined and enabling approach to the regulation of innovation
On Monday, June 30, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., the Press Room of the Chamber of Deputies will host a conference dedicated to the future of Artificial Intelligence in Italy, promoted by the Honorable Andrea Volpi. Titled “AI is the future, not bureaucracy,” the meeting will give voice to Italian startups that are calling for a more agile regulatory framework that is favorable to technological development.
During the event, a joint appeal will be presented by the main emerging companies in the sector, urging the legislator to avoid excessive bureaucratic constraints in the implementation phase of the European AI Act, which is expected to be applied starting in August. The promoting startups underline how the current regulatory framework risks slowing down innovation and the competitiveness of the national entrepreneurial fabric, compromising the opportunities offered by AI for work, health, education and the efficiency of public administration.
Institutional representatives and entrepreneurs in the sector will speak at the conference: the Honorable Andrea Volpi, member of the XI Commission for Public and Private Employment, Gabriele Ferrieri (president of ANGI), Lorenzo Luce (CEO of BigProfiles), Marco Scioli (CEO of Starting Finance), Manila Di Giovanni (CEO of DWorld) and Fabio Vantaggiato (CEO of Easy Health). The initiative will be open to accredited press and broadcast live streaming on the official website of the Chamber of Deputies.
