Linda Yaccarino steps down as head of X after two years

"After two incredible years, I've decided to step down" from the helm of X, Elon Musk's social media platform. CEO Linda Yaccarino announced the news in a post on X about her stepping down.

"When I first spoke with Elon Musk, I knew it would be the opportunity of a lifetime. I'm grateful to him for believing in me. I'm incredibly proud of the X team," said Yaccarino, describing the platform as a "true digital marketplace for all voices. We couldn't have achieved" the results we've achieved if it weren't for the "support of our users, our partners, and the most innovative team in the world."

Yaccarino previously served as chief marketing officer at NBCUniversal and former chair of the Ad Council. In June 2023, she succeeded Elon Musk as CEO of X Corp.
