Couple arrested for hiding police officer's body in their apartment; they were collecting his pension

A couple was arrested after it was discovered they had hidden the body of a 74-year-old former national police officer in the apartment where they lived for two months . Both are accused of covering up his death and misappropriating the retired officer's pension .

The victim was found in Alicante, Spain, in an advanced state of decomposition inside a locked room in his own apartment in the Los Ángeles neighborhood. Initial investigations rule out violent death and point to natural causes, although the exact date of death has not been specified.
