Rapper protests Trump's possible pardon for Sean 'Diddy' Combs

Rapper protests Trump's possible pardon for Sean 'Diddy' Combs

The showcase of human aberrations has been on display daily in a Lower Manhattan courthouse for almost a month.

Several witnesses have taken the stand and described Sean 'Diddy' Combs, 55, the artist and music mogul who is being tried for racketeering and sex trafficking, as a true predator who turned women into soulless, emotionless objects, sexual slaves to satisfy his baser passions.

His ex-girlfriend, the singer Cassie (Casandra Ventura), explained in great detail the meaning of what he called freak offs , marathon sessions lasting more than one day, with the help of drugs, in which she was forced to have sex with a prostitute while her boyfriend watched and recorded.

Just this week, the witness named Mia, a former assistant to the man also known as Puff Daddy, recounted in several sessions that her former boss punished her with sleep deprivation and violence, as well as sexual assault. On one occasion, he even entered her room while she was resting and penetrated her without her consent.

Faced with this display of depravity, legal analysts are suggesting that perhaps Combs' only remaining argument, as he faces a life sentence, is to take the stand and try to convince the jury of his innocence and that it's all a profit-making scheme on the part of the alleged victims.

The only hope? Well, no. He still has one more nail to cling to: Donald Trump.

The first US president convicted and sentenced for a criminal offense has not ruled out granting a pardon to his former friend, according to his own words. There are smiling photos of the then-reality TV star with the multimillionaire hip-hop guru. Some also feature the current first lady, Melania, attesting to the good relationship between them. As was the case with the millionaire pedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein, a distance had already grown between them by the time Combs fell into disgrace.

"I haven't seen or spoken to him in years. I used to really like him. I think that relationship broke down when I ran for office, from what I've read," he said a few days ago at a press conference at the White House when asked about a possible pardon.

"I don't know, I would certainly look at the facts. If I believe someone was mistreated, whether I liked it or not, that wouldn't impact my decision," he stressed. Needless to say, in his view, Combs is the one who was mistreated, not the alleged victims of his perversion.

The question came in the wake of Trump's latest wave of 25 pardons, which bypassed the usual judicial review. These included a gangster, several tax evaders, and those convicted of weapons possession, theft, murder, bribery, and corruption.

Rapper Curtis 50 Cent Jackson quickly launched a campaign to convince the president not to acquit his rival, about whom he is co-producing a documentary. “Combs said some really ugly things about Trump,” he proclaimed in an Instagram post.

"Donald doesn't like disrespect and he doesn't forget those who choose to oppose him. He should consider pardoning anyone who has been mistreated, not Puff Daddy," insisted this rapper and a self-proclaimed Trump fan, along with Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Lil Wayne, and Kanye West.
