Temperatures of 45 degrees Celsius are forecast in these states of Mexico
The National Meteorological Service (SMN) indicated through its press release for this February 25, that the continuity of front No. 28 —which will move over the Caribbean Sea accompanied by its cold air mass—, will stop altering weather conditions in Mexico.
However, the "North" component wind will prevail with gusts of 50 to 70 km/h in the isthmus and gulf of Tehuantepec, waves of 1 to 2 meters high on the western coast of Baja California, as well as a "South" component wind with gusts of:
- 40 to 60 km/h in Coahuila, Nuevo Leon, Tamaulipas and Veracruz.
- 30 to 50 km/h and possible dust storms in Baja California, Baja California Sur, Sonora, Chihuahua, Durango, Zacatecas, San Luis Potosí and Jalisco.
The SMN also reminds the population that strong winds could knock down trees and advertising signs, and that fog banks could reduce visibility, so people are urged to take precautions.

Therefore, it is expected that maximum temperatures of:
- 40 to 45 °C in Michoacan and Guerrero.
- 35 to 40 °C in Sonora, Sinaloa, Nayarit, Jalisco, Colima, Morelos, Oaxaca and Chiapas.
- 30 to 35 °C in Baja California, Baja California Sur, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo Leon, Tamaulipas, San Luis Potosi, Zacatecas, Durango, Aguascalientes, Guanajuato, Queretaro, Hidalgo, southwest of Puebla, southwest of the State of Mexico, Veracruz, Tabasco, Campeche, Yucatan and Quintana Roo.
On the contrary, the minimum temperatures are expected to achieve:
- -10 to -5 °C with frost in mountainous areas of Chihuahua and Durango.
- -5 to 0 °C with frost in areas of Sonora, San Luis Potosí, Zacatecas, Aguascalientes, Hidalgo, State of Mexico, Tlaxcala and Puebla.
- 0 to 5 °C in areas of Baja California, Coahuila, Nuevo Leon, Jalisco, Michoacan, Guanajuato, Queretaro, Veracruz and Oaxaca.
Finally, as the SMN pointed out, there is little chance of rain in most of the territory. However, the entry of humidity from the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea will cause intervals of showers in Oaxaca and Chiapas, and isolated rains in Guerrero, Yucatán and Quintana Roo.
