The flavor and traditions of Baja California arrived at Los Pinos

Amid a celebration of music, ancestral rituals, dances, paintings, photography, and traditional food, Baja California's Secretary of Culture, Alma Delia Ábrego Ceballos, inaugurated the grand exhibition "Baja California at the Los Pinos Cultural Complex" this Saturday, so that all visitors can learn about and admire the artistic creations of Baja Californians.
During the opening of the event, held in the Jacaranda Plaza at Los Pinos, Ábrego Ceballos commented that "the exhibition is about speaking about the meaning of our tradition, our oral and written culture, and our indigenous peoples."
On behalf of the state's governor, Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, she thanked President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo for designating 2025 as the Year of Indigenous Women, since, "in the case of Baja California, all traditional authorities are women."
She also thanked the federal Secretary of Culture, Claudia Curiel de Icaza, for opening the doors of the Los Pinos Cultural Complex "to share the creative force, traditions, and rich worldview of the Yuman people," said the Baja Californian secretary.
He commented that Baja California is a state with a strong history of power, strength, and resilience, where its inhabitants first learned to survive in extremely harsh climates.

In front of dozens of attendees at the inauguration, Ábrego Ceballos invited them to visit the various spaces where they could admire handicrafts, traditional foods such as rabbit and birria, dances, and traditional costumes. He also mentioned that the state is also one of the country's leading wine producers and is recognized worldwide for its quality.
He added that attendees will also be able to listen to rock concerts and photography exhibits showcasing the culture, personalities, and images of the inhabitants of the ancestral villages.
Finally, Ábrego Ceballos reported that the Yuman Peoples' Justice Plan has been in the works for two years, so that our peoples have the place they deserve and this historic debt owed to them can be paid.
Elisa Lemus Cano, director of the Los Pinos Cultural Complex, invited attendees to visit the extensive exhibition on the traditions and creations of Baja California. For the second time, they are offering a wide variety of activities so that residents of the capital can learn about what this northern state is and represents for the country.
