Government to include SDN households in Feed Yourself subsidy program

The government announced that, starting in August, new homes in Santo Domingo Norte will be incorporated into the Aliméntate subsidy program , as part of the social assistance initiatives coordinated by the Supérate Social Development Directorate.
The announcement was made by the head of the institution , Gloria Reyes , during the " Government in the Provinces " event, held this Saturday at the Miguel Ángel Pérez Sierra school, located on La Victoria Highway.
Reyes explained that the inclusion of new beneficiaries responds to a directive from President Luis Abinader and will be accompanied by a registration process to access the subsidies granted by the department. Currently, subsidies are distributed to 122,400 households in Santo Domingo Norte.
He added that the Single Beneficiary System (Siuben) will carry out a survey to define who meets the requirements to access Bonogás .
During the meeting, community leaders raised demands related to road infrastructure projects, educational centers, and social programs. Reyes emphasized that the program's goal is to bring the government closer to the communities, listen to their needs, and seek solutions together.
In response to complaints about public works, Juan Herrera and Carlos Ortiz , of the Government Monitoring Commission in Santo Domingo province, detailed that among the completed projects are the Model City in Villa Mella, several schools, police stations, a baseball stadium, and an extension of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD).
They added that eleven schools, the "My Happy Home" housing project, the roofing of Villa Mella Park, and the expansion of metro line 1 are currently under development.
Integrated services operatorDuring the event, Supérate offered various services in coordination with other state entities. These included medical care in various specialties, registration and updates in Siuben (National Health Service), affiliation with the subsidized Senasa program, and guidance on training programs.
Workshops on preventing domestic violence and teenage pregnancies were also held, and the National Institute for Price Stabilization (INESPRE) offered basic food products at subsidized prices.
The event was attended by Provincial Governor Lucrecia Santana , the director of the Community Technology Centers (CTC), Isidro Torres, and Representative Patricia Núñez , as well as representatives from the Santo Domingo Norte Mayor's Office and the Supérate management team.
