The Minister of Justice of the Nation, Mariano Cúneo Libarona, came out against Buenos Aires PRO legislator Graciela Ocaña for questioning the appointment by decree of two judges to the Supreme Court and reminded her that it was "a tool used" by her "political leader", former president Mauricio Macri.

"Deputy Ocaña, I am concerned that, having been a legislator for 16 years and having held high-ranking positions in the State during the government of Néstor Kirchner, you have not learned anything about law. Javier Milei has just made another gesture of gigantic audacity. He signed the decree for the designation of Ariel Lijo and Manuel García Mansilla as future members of the Supreme Court. The Government made official on Wednesday the appointments of Ariel Lijo and Manuel García-Mansilla as judges of the Supreme Court of Justice, thus increasing its number of members to five. It did so on commission and through Decree 137/2025, published in the Official Gazette with the signature of the President.
