Pedro Sánchez's brother testifies before the judge for the second time

Pedro Sánchez's brother appears again this Friday before the Badajoz judge who is investigating him for his appointment as director of the Extremadura provincial council's performing arts office. David Sánchez will be questioned on two new alleged offenses: influence peddling and malfeasance, related to the hiring of Luis María Carrero, a person he called "little brother" who was an advisor to the Moncloa government.
The judge of Badajoz's investigating court number 3 bases this new investigation on the exchange of emails between these two individuals dated October 30, 2023, where "it could be understood that both assumed the incorporation of Luis Carrero—who also testifies today—23 days before the publication of the bases for his coverage."
According to the judge, David Sánchez allegedly used his influence within the Badajoz Provincial Council for personal gain by having the person who had been actively assisting him unofficially with the Ópera Joven project hired by the Provincial Council and assist him directly, working with him in his office.
Sánchez already pleaded guilty on January 9 to a crime against public administration related to his hiring in 2007.
