President Abinader celebrates his birthday by handing out property titles

President Luis Abinader traveled this Saturday, his birthday , to the Quisqueya municipality, in the province of San Pedro de Macorís, where he delivered 1,800 property titles for the benefit of 7,200 people .
In his remarks, the president said, "This is a dream coming true," referring to the presentation of certificates .
The action, carried out by the Technical Execution Unit for State Land Titling (UTECT), in coordination with the State Sugar Council (CEA) and the Real Estate Jurisdiction, is an initiative of the head of state that is part of the government's program to regularize land ownership and guarantee legal security to hundreds of families.
The head of state stated that the best birthday celebration he can have is " solving and delivering titles ."
He emphasized the satisfaction he feels at being able to grant titles to the land that for years has been the foundation of the homes that shelter their dreams and the space to earn a living for their families .
He reiterated that by owning the land, the properties acquire greater value and become formal subjects of bank credit and a legacy to leave to their descendants.
He said they are working to provide the remaining families with property titles so that no Quisqueya resident is left without the documents that certify them as owners of the land they have lived on for years.
"So that here, in Quisqueya , everyone has their property titles ," the head of state emphasized.
Nancy Cristina Rodríguez , who expressed her gratitude on behalf of the beneficiaries , emphasized that the president returned to the community to deliver the property titles he promised.
For his part, UTECT Executive Director Duarte Méndez Peña thanked the local community leaders and the province's civil and municipal authorities who collaborated and believed in this project . Without their support and faith, this moment would not be possible.
At the end of the activity, the locals gave a cake and sang happy birthday to the president .
