From pleasant to tropical: thermometer shoots up to 35 degrees

This morning will be cloudy, with occasional sunshine, especially in the northwest. Some light rain or drizzle may fall from the clouds. It won't be heavy, but it could still get wet in some areas. After a mild night, with temperatures ranging from around 15 degrees Celsius in the northeast to 19 degrees Celsius in Zeeland, the temperature will rise to around 22 degrees Celsius in central parts of the country by mid-morning. A moderate westerly wind will be blowing.

Sun already set at 9:18 pm

This afternoon, inland areas will initially be very cloudy, with occasional light rain or drizzle. The sun will break through more frequently in the northwestern half of the country, and later in the afternoon, it will also regularly appear elsewhere. Afternoon temperatures will range from 22 degrees Celsius on the coast, 24 degrees Celsius in the central region, and locally 26 degrees Celsius in the south and east.

Tonight there will be plenty of sunshine, especially in the north, while there will still be some residual cloud in the south. It will remain dry everywhere. However, the evenings will noticeably shorten: sunset is at 9:18 PM. The night will be calm and dry, with broad clear spells. As a result, it will cool down more than last night: the temperature will drop to 16 degrees Celsius directly along the coast, while inland it will drop to a pleasant sleeping temperature of around 10 degrees Celsius.

Tomorrow promises to be a wonderful summer day. There will be plenty of sunshine, with no significant cumulus cloud formation. In the afternoon, temperatures will reach 22 degrees Celsius at the coast, 24 degrees Celsius in the center, and 27 degrees Celsius in the southeast. The light southwesterly wind will shift to the west during the morning and increase to moderate.

28-35 degrees

The following days will be sunny, dry, and gradually very warm. On Sunday, afternoon temperatures will rise to 23 to 27 degrees Celsius, after which it will quickly warm up. Tuesday will be tropically hot in the south, with afternoon temperatures ranging from 28 degrees Celsius in the north to possibly even 35 degrees Celsius in the south. Wednesday will remain very summery, although slightly less hot than the day before. There is a risk of a regional heat wave in the south and east.

Local thunderstorms are possible only on Thursday. High humidity will make it feel oppressively warm on Wednesday and Thursday.
