A poisonous spider bit a pilot. Moments of terror on board a plane

An unusual situation on board the plane. During the flight, the pilot of the plane was bitten by... a tarantula. The situation was very serious, because the man was allergic to spider bites.

The incident occurred on Friday on board an Iberia flight from Düsseldorf, Germany, to Madrid, Spain.

During the flight , the pilot was bitten by one of the most dangerous spiders in the world - a tarantula. Since the captain of the plane was allergic to spider bites, an alarm was immediately raised on board.

The situation was reported to the rest of the flight crew, who immediately took action. Fortunately, there was medicine on board.

The captain was given a dose of an anti-inflammatory drug used to treat severe allergic reactions.

Despite the unexpected arachnid attack , the pilot was able to continue the flight and landed safely at the destination airport in the Spanish capital.

After the passengers had safely disembarked, specialists boarded the plane and carried out fumigation (pest control using chemicals in the form of smoke, steam or gas - ed.). As a result, the plane was grounded for several hours.

While it is not known whether the pilot required further medical attention, Iberia said the captain was doing well and had no lasting health effects.

It is not yet known how the poisonous spider got on board the plane, but local media reports suggest it may have happened on an earlier flight from Madrid to Casablanca, Morocco.
