Crazy driving in Skierniewice. Driver posed a huge threat
This incident is a warning to all road users. The police are constantly appealing for common sense on the roads.
On Saturday, February 22, 2024, traffic police officers stopped a young driver who was driving at 159 km/h in the built-up area of Skierniewice. This is 109 km/h more than the speed limit. Such behavior on the road poses a huge threat to the life and health of both the driver and other road users.
For his irresponsible behavior, the Mercedes driver was fined PLN 2,500. Additionally, he received 15 penalty points and lost his driving license for 3 months. This shows that speeding is taken very seriously by the police and is associated with severe consequences.
New fine scheduleA new fine schedule has been in effect since 2022, which has tightened the penalties for speeding. Drivers must expect higher fines and more penalty points. For example, for exceeding the speed limit by more than 70 km/h, a fine of PLN 2,500 is imposed, and in the case of recidivism, this amount doubles.
Road safety is a priorityThe police are constantly monitoring the speed and sobriety of drivers to ensure road safety. Especially in the winter, when conditions are difficult, responsibility behind the wheel is key. Officers appeal for prudence and compliance with traffic regulations.
