- Germany, France, Great Britain are playing for Ukrainian resources, which Donald Trump has demanded - believes Andrzej Duda. In his opinion, an element of the "game" between European countries and the USA is the presence at the peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine. The president responded with a telling silence in "Gość Wydarzeń" to the suggestion that the powers are demanding access to Ukrainian resources.

President Andrzej Duda was asked in the "Gość Wydarzeń" program about American claims against Ukraine and the agreement on investments in Ukrainian mineral deposits, which Donald Trump is pushing for.

- I believe that this proposal of Donald Trump makes a lot of sense. Some of these Ukrainian resources are in occupied territories - said Andrzej Duda.

- In my understanding, President Donald Trump's intention is not to be a party to the negotiations, the president wants to be a middleman, he wants to be an impartial arbiter in these negotiations. Russia and Ukraine are supposed to negotiate with each other - Duda said.

Asked whether the European Union should be present at the negotiating table, the president replied that "that's a completely different matter". - It's a matter of the game between the great European (powers - ed.) and President Donald Trump. That's the truth - Duda noted.
