President of the Supreme Medical Chamber: We want to treat people, not papers

Such numbers always inflame public opinion. Everyone focuses on how much or how little doctors earn. I would like to start by saying that we would like to end the discussion about their salaries. Today, if someone thinks about why doctors are protesting, why doctors are fighting for the healthcare system, unfortunately, these salaries come first, and that is simply not the case anymore. The minimum wage currently applies to 15% of doctors. The remaining group, 85% of specialist doctors, are contract doctors who issue invoices for amounts higher than the minimum wage.
