Resolutions on the War in Ukraine. What are the differences between the documents adopted by the General Assembly and the UN Security Council?
The UN General Assembly adopted a Ukrainian-European resolution condemning Russian aggression and an amended US resolution. Both refer to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. In turn, the UN Security Council – where Russia is a permanent member with the right of veto – adopted the original US draft, which does not condemn or even mention Russia's attack.
