Sławomir Mentzen receives threats. Politician appeals to MFA

Sławomir Mentzen wrote that he is receiving death threats from a Ukrainian historian. The Confederation candidate for president is demanding a reaction from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in this matter. The politician has recently published videos from Lviv in which he spoke about the need for changes in Ukraine's historical policy.

"The Ukrainian historian Vakhtang Kipiani is threatening me with death, writing that he can arrange for me to repeat the story of Pieracki, a Polish politician, Minister of Internal Affairs, murdered in 1934 by Ukrainian nationalists," Mentzen said on social media.

He published Kipiani's post, in which he says "the scoundrel dreams of Pieracki's glory. 'We can repeat it'".

"Kipiani is a well-known Ukrainian historian, he appears on television, he was honored with the Bandera decoration. He also received the Medal of Gratitude of the European Solidarity Centre in Gdańsk" - writes Sławomir Mentzen .

"By threatening the Polish MP with death, the Ukrainians are once again showing their attitude towards Poland. They are demanding money from us, while at the same time continuing to honor the murderers of Poles, and are even announcing the murder of a Polish politician because I told the truth about them," the MP added.

Mentzen also wrote that he expects the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headed by Radosław Sikorski "to react and not allow further attacks by Ukrainians on our country."

The Confederation candidate for president has recently published videos prepared in Lviv. Mentzen appeared in front of the Stepan Bandera monument and demanded that Ukrainians stop promoting the figure of the nationalist politician.

- He is a terrorist who was convicted by a Polish court for murdering Poles in the Second Polish Republic. He then founded the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists, which is responsible for the massacre in Volhynia. This man's people murdered 100,000 Poles - he said in his material.

The mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovyi, reacted to the film. He called Mentzen a "pro-Russian politician with a Polish passport", ordered him to go to the front and pointed out that "we have to check whether he is allowed to enter Ukraine at all".

"You should be ashamed that in such a wonderful city you agree to the cult of genocidal murderers, criminals and murderers of my countrymen. You should be banned from entering Poland. Please believe that if I win, I will take care of this urgently," the Confederation politician wrote in response.
