Prime Minister Donald Tusk has dismissed Senior Brigadier Mariusz Feltynowski from the position of Chief Commander of the State Fire Service and appointed Senior Brigadier Wojciech Kruczek to this position, informed the spokesman for the Ministry of Interior and Administration, Jacek Dobrzyński.

"Prime Minister Donald Tusk, at the request of the Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration Tomasz Siemoniak, dismissed Senior Brigadier Mariusz Feltynowski from the position of Chief Commander of the State Fire Service and appointed Senior Brigadier Wojciech Kruczek, the previous Silesian provincial commander of the State Fire Service, to the position of Chief Commander of the State Fire Service," Jacek Dobrzyński said.

The decision was commented on social media by former PSP commander Andrzej Bartkowiak. In his opinion, Feltynowski did not have a "good atmosphere" around him.

"Tomorrow there will be a change in the position of the Chief Commander of the State Fire Service. Mariusz and I have differed greatly in our assessment of the situation in the State Fire Service in recent months. However, I thank him for his service in my team, the best in civilian life. He did not have a good atmosphere around him. I wish the new Chief Commander good luck. Warmest regards," wrote Bartkowiak.

According to unofficial information from Onet, Feltynowski's dismissal is connected to the scandal surrounding Collegium Humanum. The firefighter, as the rector of the firefighting academy, allegedly signed an agreement with Collegium Humanum and studied there himself.
