The condition of Dąbrowskiego Street is of concern not only to those living directly on it, but also to parents of students at the "Piętnastki" school located at Wincentego Pol. This spring, following the interventions of the former, we wrote a text appealing for improvements to the increasingly deteriorated road surface, not only the street itself, but also the parking lot adjacent to it, which is used daily by parents transporting students. The heavily used route has acquired a dismal image due to potholes and cracks, which increase every year after each heavy rainfall. Walking along the street and navigating the parking lot after heavy rainfall was often the most problematic. Students and residents often found their shoes soaked in stagnant water, further splashed by passing cars caught in the ruts.

"We've gotten used to heavy traffic on this street, especially in the mornings when schools are open. But the terrible condition of the road is hard to accept. We're hoping the road crews will visit Dąbrowskiego Street because the repairs are practically urgent," one of our readers articulated in the spring about the urgent need for repairs.

The Przemyśl Municipal Roads Authority then provided us with some encouraging information, assuring us that the renovations would be underway, though the scale remains unclear. We've heard that the work was also intended to include the parking bay located on the aforementioned street. Recently, road crews finally managed to improve the parking area. It's level, which will undoubtedly facilitate maneuvering for vehicles, which will be in significant numbers every day, except weekends, starting September 1st.

Improving the street surface next

Meanwhile, there's no sign of positive change along Dąbrowskiego Street. We asked if the plans outlined in the spring had any chance of being implemented before the first bell rings.

– On Dąbrowskiego Street, we'll also want to build a sidewalk and improve the condition of the entire street. Unfortunately, it won't be a new bituminous surface, as everyone would expect, but rather improved...
