On Friday, May 30, an agreement was signed to provide targeted subsidies for the implementation of the project "Local Government Water Trail, pedestrian and bicycle ferry crossing on the Szczecin Lagoon". Each of the communes allocated PLN 100,000 for this purpose.

- This is an extremely important undertaking for our entire region, which has the potential to become a real hit of this year's holidays - such signals reach me from various sources, both from residents and tourist circles - assesses the starosta of Police Shivan Fate. - I am very glad that this initiative has united local government officials around a common goal, showing how much we can achieve through cooperation and joint commitment.
– On the Polish side of the Szczecin Lagoon, there was a lack of a tourist fleet, and today we are creating one – said Jarosław Burba, mayor of Nowe Warpno. . This is important not only for residents, but also for tourists. For the Nowe Warpno commune, it is the basis for further development. We can't wait for the first cruise!
The project assumes the pilot launch of a water ferry connection in the summer season of 2025. Ferry crossings will also be available to cyclists.
Currently, the contractor, Secco Janusz Just, is completing the documentation, which will allow for signing the final contract and starting the implementation.
- We are doing everything in our power to sign the contract on time and for the cruises to start as planned, before the end of June. We are now waiting for the tender procedures to be completed and for the contractor to complete the required documents. If everything goes according to plan, the cruises will start without delay - said Patrycja Grzywna, director of the Strategic Development Department of the Police County Office, responsible for coordinating the undertaking.
The water tram on the Szczecin - Nowe Warpno - Świnoujście route is to start operating on June 28. It will be able to accommodate 200 people with 50 bicycles at a time. It's laughable. During the disgusting Commune, the little ships of the white fleet sailed to Świnoujście regularly. Several cruises a day. In addition to these connections, hydrofoils flew. There were cruises around the port and a regular connection with the Mieleńska beach. Dear local government officials, stop bragging about this miserable success. It's laughable, 35 years have passed and here's one little ship. Once a week!
