The last drone found. It crashed near Korsze in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship.

The Military Department of the District Prosecutor's Office in Olsztyn, with the support of the police and military police, is conducting operations in a field near Korsze in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. The owner of the field discovered a drone in a marshy area. It is likely the last of the searched drones that flew into Poland on the night of September 9-10, the police and prosecutor's office told PAP.
Tomasz Markowski, spokesman for the Provincial Police Headquarters in Olsztyn, told PAP that the drone was found on Saturday around 2 p.m. by the owner of the field. " It was located approximately 50 meters from the owners' buildings, " Markowski added. The owner immediately notified the authorities.
Daniel Brodowski, a spokesman for the District Prosecutor's Office in Olsztyn, told PAP that it was a Styrofoam drone. "Its condition indicates it was left in a field for several days. At this point, we believe it is the last of the searched drones that entered Polish territory on the night of September 9-10," Brodowski said. He added that prosecutors from the 8th Military Department of the District Prosecutor's Office in Olsztyn are working on the scene and will forward the collected evidence to the District Prosecutor's Office in Lublin, which is investigating the matter.
According to unofficial information from the Polish Press Agency (PAP), the drone found is lightweight; preliminary assessment suggests it's a Gerber-type decoy drone. The aircraft is muddy and dirty, having been lying in the mud for several days. In some places, Cyrillic inscriptions are visible. According to PAP sources, it's identical to the one found on September 10th in the village of Oleśno near Elbląg – one of the drones that flew from Russia into Poland.
The drone was found on the outskirts of a small village in the Korsze commune. This location is approximately 20 km from the Russian border, in the Königsberg Oblast. This is significantly closer to the Russian border than to Oleśno, where the Russian drone was found on September 10.
On the night of September 9-10, during the Russian Federation's nighttime attack on Ukraine, Polish airspace was repeatedly violated by drones. On Tuesday, at the training ground in Orzysz, Chief of the General Staff, Gen. Wiesław Kukuła, admitted that 21 drones had flown into Poland.
Defensive procedures were then initiated. The drones, which posed a direct threat, were shot down by Polish and allied aircraft. This marked the first time in modern Polish history that the Air Force had used weapons in the country's airspace. A house in the village of Wyryki was damaged during the drone shootdown.
The remaining drones were found in five voivodeships: Lublin (the most), Masovian, Świętokrzyskie, Łódź, and Warmian-Masurian. (PAP)
