Another record at Katowice airport – we have never had an April like this before

This was the best fourth month in the history of Katowice Airport - the previous record result was recorded in Pyrzowice in April 2024, when 358.4 thousand people were served - informs Piotr Adamczyk, spokesman for the Upper Silesian Aviation Group, the company managing the airport in Katowice.

The results of regular carriers were better, year-on-year, by 12.4 percent, and charter carriers – by 32.6 percent.

"During the full thirty days of April 2025, 3,726 aircraft take-offs and landings took place at Katowice Airport, which is 472 more (+14.5%) than a year earlier," we read in the press release.

The best result of Katowice airport in history

In total, from January to the end of April, Katowice Airport handled 1,515,798 passengers, which is 232,177 more (an increase of 18.1 percent) compared to the first four months of 2024. Of these, 934,445 people (an increase of 6.8 percent) used scheduled flights, and 563,027 (an increase of 39.2 percent) used flights organized by travel agencies .
