Russia's War with Ukraine. Day 1306
British Typhoon fighters conducted their first patrol over Poland as part of NATO's new Eastern Guardian mission. This was in response to violations of Polish airspace by Russian drones and aircraft. The RAF aircraft, supported by Voyager tankers, took off from a base in Lincolnshire and returned safely to the UK after a nighttime operation. London emphasized that the operation sends a clear signal that NATO is consistently defending its airspace. Defense Minister John Healey emphasized that the RAF's participation is not only a response to Russian aggression but also a symbol of solidarity with Poland, particularly on the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.
