“Technical reasons” make it difficult to access the portal to validate IRS invoices

Access to the e-invoice portal was unavailable for several periods today, as the deadline for taxpayers to validate invoices for IRS purposes approaches.
“For technical reasons we are unable to respond to your request. Please try again later” was the message that many taxpayers received today when trying to access the e-invoice on the Tax Portal, according to reports received by Lusa.
Lusa asked the Ministry of Finance about the reason for these technical difficulties, but has not yet received a response.
The difficulty in accessing the system occurs on the eve of the deadline for taxpayers to validate invoices for expenses incurred throughout 2024 and which are relevant for calculating IRS deductions.
The deadline for validation ends on Tuesday, and this 'task' is particularly relevant in cases where invoices remain pending (because the taxpayer issues green receipts or because, for example, the person issuing the invoice has more than one activity record – CAE) or when there were failures in the communication of the invoice to the Tax Portal by the issuers.
