AEMA athletes won 18 gold medals

Athletes from AEMA – Associação Ell-Cid Martial Arts Academy won 18 Gold medals, 18 Silver medals and 12 Bronze medals, at the 11th WAC – World All Styles Open Cup 2025 which took place in the city of Caldas da Rainha from 22 to 27 April 2025.

Also worthy of mention is the achievement of 5th place by teams out of more than a hundred teams participating, and the best athlete in the event (Lara Rodrigues) and a total of 4 athletes in the top 10 classified.

The athletes highlighted were Guilherme Jesus, Daniel Carvalho, Iris Marques, Leonor Carvalho, Lara Rodrigues, Matilde Santos, Gabriel Sena, Martim Espinheira, Tomás Veiga and Fodeo Diawara.

There were 4 days of intense competition, with AEMA athletes participating in several Kempo disciplines (hard and soft empty hand forms, hard and soft weapon forms, team weapon forms, empty hand team forms, self-defense; creative empty hand forms, creative weapon forms, semi kempo, light kempo, and rumble kids).

AEMA – Associação Ell-Cid Martial Arts Academy participated with 10 athletes “a small team, in a competition with 1086 athletes who competed in a total of 3935 events”.
