Argentina Cordeiro is Bronze referee in the Walk
National athletics refereeing has reached an important milestone. At the end of 2024, Portuguese referees successfully completed their respective international exams, obtaining the necessary classifications for certification in different World Athletics International Panels, in the Bronze, Silver and Gold categories. Argentina Cordeiro, referee of the Coimbra District Athletics Association, achieved the Bronze category in Race Walk.
«These new certifications strengthen Portugal's position on the international athletics refereeing scene, as we now have better prepared referees who will face the challenges of major international competitions, such as the European and World Championships, ensuring strict compliance with the rules and promoting the integrity of the sport», can be read on the Federation's official website.
