Fire destroys home and family asks for support
The house was almost completely destroyed and left uninhabitable, leaving the two residents, mother and daughter, without most of their possessions, including household appliances, clothing and food.
Therefore, a fundraising campaign was launched to help this family, appealing for solidarity. Through the Alfarela de Jales parish council and ANIPUR – Terras de Aguiar Association for the Defense of Animals and the Environment, anyone who could help was asked to contribute clothing and monetary donations for the reconstruction of the house.
The parish council president explained that, after a meeting with the mayor and the president of ANIPUR, "the municipality's social action office will work to find temporary housing for the family and provide support with food and other essentials."
