Gol reports R$1.42 billion loss in May, the month before exiting bankruptcy protection

Airline Gol recorded a net loss of R$1.42 billion in May, according to a report sent to the court for its judicial recovery in the United States and released to the market this Tuesday (1st).
The company emerged from so-called "Chapter 11" in June , with CEO Celso Ferrer saying the company was targeting fleet expansion and new flights and routes in Brazil and other countries.

In May, Gol recorded a negative EBITDA of R$650 million, with an EBITDA margin of -42%, according to the relevant fact this Tuesday.
Gol ended May with total cash of R$1.87 billion and net debt, including loans and financing, leasing and DIP financing, of R$30.7 billion.
The document also showed that the airline's net revenue in the period totaled R$1.54 billion.
The figures are part of the company's monthly operating report, filed with the U.S. bankruptcy court as required during its restructuring process. The information is preliminary and unaudited.
