Maninho, The Gift and Cuca Roseta at the pilgrimage of Our Lady of Remedies
The Gift, Maninho, Cuca Roseta, João Pedro Pais, and Zé Amaro are just some of the headliners. The musical offerings for this edition of the Pilgrimage of Portugal will also be enriched, thanks to a strong commitment from the municipality of Lamego, with the collaboration on stage of the municipality's philharmonic bands with national artists: "Quinta do Bill and the Lalim Philharmonic Society," "FF and the Cambres Marching Band," and "Toy and the Magueija Philharmonic Band."
The largest festival in the municipality of Lamego and the Douro "will offer a wealth of music for all ages and tastes: the Douro National Radio Festival, the groups USKADKASA and ARKÁDIA, the FOLK Romaria – National Folklore Festival, musical performances by Paulo Paradela and Filipe Sequeira, the folk festival with the group MK MUSIC, the Mater Dei Concert by the Magueija Philharmonic Band, and a performance by Sangre Ibérico. All concerts are free," the municipality explained in a statement.
The culmination of this celebration is the Triunfo procession, held on September 8th, in which the floats display sacred images pulled by teams of oxen, as is tradition. At this time, the streets are richly decorated, taking on a new dynamic, where the religious component reaches its fullest.
