Moncarapacho returns to hold its Summer Carnival this Saturday

The Summer Carnival returns to Moncarapacho next Saturday, August 2nd, with another float parade. The float parade will begin at 9:30 pm.
The 12 floats that participated in the Moncarapacho Carnival in February, along with around 500 revelers, will parade along the route between Praça da República (Largo da Igreja Matriz) and Praça Major João Xavier de Castanheda (Largo da Junta de Freguesia). This is an opportunity for immigrants to "relive" the "Battle of the Flowers" of the Algarve's oldest carnival, which has been captivating an ever-growing audience year after year.
After the parade, the party continues until dawn at Largo da Junta de Freguesia with a show by the group Ganda Banda.
The Moncarapacho Summer Carnival is organized by the Union of Parishes of Moncarapacho and Fuseta, with the support of the Municipality of Olhão and the local population. Admission is free.
