Ambipar withdraws projections related to potential partnership with Dow; negotiations continue
Ambipar reported on Monday that it has decided to withdraw projections related to the potential partnership between the company and Dow Brasil, which serves the packaging, infrastructure, mobility and other markets, although the eventual agreement remains in the study, development and negotiation phase.
The waste management company added in a material fact that the decision to withdraw the projections considers the "strategic and commercial sensitivity of the information" related to the potential agreement, and that this does not represent "any change in the relationship or in the progress of negotiations between the parties".
According to Ambipar, the memorandum of understanding agreed with Dow last year remains in force and there is currently no binding and definitive document between the companies. In October, when it announced the agreement, Ambipar expected that the partnership would increase polyethylene recycling in Brazil from 2,000 to 60,000 tons per year by 2030.
