And this title had a special flavor for the Glorious Children, who in the last final of the competition were beaten 7-0 by the Meninas da Gávea.
In Monday's final, Botafogo and Flamengo played a thrilling game, with chances for both sides. But the Glorious Children were more efficient, scoring the winning goal in the 44th minute of the first half, when Rebeca unleashed a powerful shot from the edge of the box that flew over goalkeeper Bibi before going into the top corner.
In the 33rd minute of the second half, Botafogo scored again when Rhaissa took advantage of a Flamengo defensive error to control the ball in midfield, burst into the box, and beat goalkeeper Bibi. However, the play was disallowed by VAR (video assistant referee), which ruled that the black and white forward controlled the ball with her arm.
