Fluminense concedes a draw to Lanús and ends up eliminated from the South American

Coach Renato Gaúcho's team played a game with two very distinct halves on Tuesday. The opening period was marked by Fluminense's dominance, piling up chances against a Lanús side that struggled to create chances. In this scenario, the team from Laranjeiras managed to open the scoring in the 19th minute with a stunning goal from Canobbio. After Serna lifted the ball into the box, Lucho Acosta headed it in, and the Uruguayan volleyed it in to score.

Needing one more goal to secure qualification for the semifinals of the Copa Sudamericana in regulation time, the Tricolor continued to push forward.
