The SNS Executive Board calls for a public consultation on the proposal for the hospital network in the specialty of obstetrics and gynecology.

The main objective of this proposal is to “promote more effective coordination and articulation of hospital services, ensuring their organization in an integrated and hierarchical manner, as part of strengthening the efficiency and quality of the NHS,” said the NHS executive board in a statement.
A proposal to review the ' Hospital Referral Network - Obstetrics and Gynecology ' is open for public consultation until August 14, by order of the Minister of Health, Ana Paula Martins.
The main objective of this proposal is to “promote more effective coordination and articulation of hospital services, ensuring their organization in an integrated and hierarchical manner, as part of strengthening the efficiency and quality of the NHS,” said the NHS executive board in a statement.
This proposal was prepared by a multidisciplinary working group and aims to contribute to the development of professional training and clinical research in the field of obstetrics and gynecology.
The SNS executive board highlights the opportunity that this public consultation represents, namely for "collecting contributions and suggestions, ensuring the transparency of the process and promoting active participation in defining a hospital referral network better suited to the needs of the population."
