Fifty entities and companies from the Civil Protection sector will be at AlgarSafe'25, between 22 and 25 May, in Portimão, the largest international emergency and relief fair held in the south of the country.
At the fourth edition of the International Civil Protection and Relief Fair, which has been held every two years since 2016, “the best emergency and relief solutions and equipment” will be presented, Portimão City Council reported in a statement.
The four-day program includes seminars, round tables, forums, thematic courses, practical demonstrations, awareness-raising actions and activities for families and young people, with the involvement of the various agents that make up Civil Protection.
In the exhibition space, measuring approximately 34,000 square meters, new technologies and the existing commercial offer will be presented, including “the best security solutions and equipment”.
“There will be four days of sharing, debate and training for those who have the responsibility to protect, save and/or prevent, in addition to areas dedicated to commercial offers for those looking for the best solutions and equipment”, reads the note.
The event will take place at the Portimão Exhibition Park, in a total area of 34,000 square meters, of which 4,000 square meters will be inside the Portimão Arena pavilion.
The initiative is organized by the municipality of the district of Faro in partnership with the Portimão Fire Department, and has the support of the National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority (ANEPC), the National Fire Department School, the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM), the Portuguese Fire Department League and other Civil Protection agents.
AlgarSafe'25 “aims to be a space for showcasing, raising awareness and sharing knowledge, with an interactive character and accessible to Civil Protection agents and the general public”, reads the note.
The fair will be open to the public every day between 10:00 and 18:00, with the exception of the last day when it closes at 13:00.
