A project dedicated to the end of World War II has been launched in the Novgorod Kremlin

The other day, the "Flame of Victory" project was launched at the "Eternal Flame of Glory" memorial in the Novgorod Kremlin. It is dedicated to the victory of the Soviet, Chinese and Mongolian peoples over militaristic Japan and the end of World War II.
The Kremlin was attended by members of the City Council of Veterans, young army members from the Harmony gymnasium, students from school No. 14, as well as representatives of the military-patriotic club Pobediteli, the youth council of the Novgorod Museum-Reserve, and students from the Technological College.
Chairman of the Novgorod public organization of veterans of war, labor, armed forces and law enforcement agencies Yuri Mikhailovich Levkov and student of the Technological College Ratibor Noskov lit the Flame of Victory. Then the guests of the event honored with a minute of silence the memory of those who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of our country, after which they laid flowers at the Eternal Flame.
The meeting was organized by the Novgorod Youth Center with the support of the city administration's youth policy department. The idea for the event was suggested by veterans of combat operations and security forces of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.
The event began on the Day of Remembrance of Combat Veterans. It will take place in cities of military glory and will end on September 3, 2025, in the Chinese city of Harbin. There will be a ceremonial lighting of the flame at the monument to Soviet soldiers.
