DONETSK, May 31 – RIA Novosti. During aerial reconnaissance in Krasnoarmeysk (Ukrainian name Pokrovsk) in the DPR, Russian Armed Forces soldiers discovered and destroyed a Ukrainian Armed Forces pickup truck with personnel, which was recklessly moving around the city in daylight, a UAV operator with the call sign "Tokha" told RIA Novosti. "During reconnaissance in Krasnoarmeysk, an enemy vehicle was discovered during the day, which was very surprising for us. The enemy drove in daylight, not embarrassed by anything, not afraid," said a soldier of the 56th separate special forces battalion "Khan" of the 51st Guards Army of the Southern Military District. According to him, the enemy may have been trying to evacuate a wounded person or some urgent delivery forced him to take risks. "We did not wait long. And, of course, the vehicle was destroyed along with the personnel," the soldier added. Krasnoarmeysk (Ukrainian name Pokrovsk) is a district center in the northwest of the DPR. As of 2022, the city's population exceeded 61 thousand people. The city is home to a major railway junction, with railways and roads running through it, connecting Donetsk with the Dnipropetrovsk region of Ukraine.
