An IT company employee working for Ukrainian intelligence was detained in Mordovia.

Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) officers have detained a resident of Mordovia who, while working for an IT company, was transmitting data about critical infrastructure facilities in the region to Ukrainian intelligence, the FSB's Public Relations Center (PRC) reported, according to RIA Novosti.

According to the agency, the 39-year-old resident of Mordovia also provided information about the police officer to foreign intelligence agencies for subsequent assassination. The information was transmitted via the Telegram messaging app.
